A non-fungible token (NFT) is a special type of cryptographic token that represents a digital object such as an image, a video, an audio file, to which is attached a digital identity that is linked to a non-empty set of owners.
Under their barbaric acronym, the NFT or "non-fungible tokens" allow to become the happy owner of totally virtual works and digital objects of all kinds (digital painting, video excerpts, game characters, etc.). But also to sell them. A market that has exploded in recent months and is upsetting the art market in particular. Some NFTs after creation can reach astronomical prices.
